
Athena Kyriakopoulou
Athena Kyriakopolou is a BSc Graduate in Civil Engineering from the Wayne State University, USA. Athena has extensive experience in teaching English for top private English schools in the western region of Greece, and apart from teaching, she has been a course coordinator and teacher trainer.
Athena does her best to make students feel that they are in the best hands. Establishing rapport with my students, motivating them to learn, and enabling them to embrace their full potential has always been her top priority. She believes that being culturally sensitive and open-minded leads to an environment of continuous development for students in all aspects of their development.
As a coordinator, Athena has overseen the planning of curriculum, and has successfully designed and completed extra-curricular activities. She organizes TED-Ed conference presentations by students, escape rooms, treasure hunts, library outings to name but a few.
Athena, has also been an oral examiner for the Pearson Examinations Board, and has successfully coordinated and conducted oral examinations for B2, C1, and C2 levels of competency. She is a life-long learner herself, as she has never stopped educating herself as well as keeping in touch with the latest pedagogical methods, thus acquiring top-niche skills in teaching and managing a classroom.
Athena is also a trained Mountain-leader and a volunteer emergency rescuer.
